Data Analytics Engineer @Electromobility

At Volvo Group Trucks Technology Electro-mobility, we are currently looking for a Data Engineer to join our fantastic team working on system simulation and data analytics of Electro-mobility solution.

What do we do?

We are Virtual Product Development and Digital Services in Electromobility, a dynamic section providing world-class solutions for Electromobility systems and delivering customer values for Volvo business units such as trucks, buses, construction equipment and marine applications.
Electromobility is one of the main development areas within Volvo Group and was created to be in the forefront of zero emission transport solutions for a more sustainable tomorrow. Sounds interesting? We want you to join us!

What will you do?

You will together with your team members enable, manage and have the overview of the data pipeline including: data collection of the complete product lifecycle, data quality and data preparation and processing. You will have close cross-functional collaboration with colleagues from different parts of the entity, and together you will make sure the data becomes available and is an accurate representation of the reality.
You along with the team will be responsible for understanding customer usage and performance of our products and for providing our solutions throughout entire product life cycle, from idea investigation and concept evaluation to industrialization and to aftermarket and maintenance!

You have experience working with SW development and have the ability understand data infrastructure and to find and develop robust solutions to support the actual need of the organization. You have experience working with data management and from working in cross-functional teams.

We also believe that you have:

• Experience – Education
  • MSc. or BSc. Engineering (Computer science, Electrical sciences, Physical sciences or similar)
• Experience – Work
  • SW development
  • Background in data management
  • GDPR (Data Protection & Compliance)
  • CRISP-DM (Cross-industry standard process for data mining )
• Competencies
  • Programming skills (Python, SQL, R)
  • Cluster management (Spark).
  • Data mining and data preparations
  • Communication skills
  • System Design
  • Fluent in English - verbal and written
• Merits
  • Vehicle system (Embedded SW) knowledge.
  • Knowledge about data communication, telematics and truck services
  • Knowledge of truck and bus applications
  • Cyber security
  • Data Visualization (Qlikview, PowerBI, Matplotlib, Bokeh)
