You will have a leading others responsibility

When targeting the next generation products and services the focus and demands increase on the control system and the connectivity solution. We have a dedicated team working with Connectivity solutions within Products and Solutions Development department and we are now looking for You who want to lead and develop this team.
Our everyday opportunity and challenge is to both perform to keep today's products competitive and transform to create new solutions for our customers - both on land and at sea. We have only seen a few glimpses of what will come. Would you like to be a part of defining a new era within our industry and to lead this team?
As the Manager Connectivity you will take an active role in shaping the Connectivity solution for Volvo Penta together with your team and stakeholders. You and your team will work in close cooperation with people in other functions both within Volvo Penta and within Volvo group and partners to secure the optimized end to end solution for our business. The Connectivity team contributes to technical roadmaps for new solutions and is responsible for requirement, development and verification of the solution. As well as uptime and support of the Volvo Penta connectivity solution, from a product and solutions development perspective throughout the whole lifecycle.

Tasks on your agenda can be to evaluate different concepts for the coming generation connected solutions, secure uptime of today’s solution in our customer’s hands, optimize way of working within the Volvo Penta connectivity team, find competence for the new development area, prioritize investment for new test equipment and some points we have not even thought about yet, but you will bring to the table with your experience and curiosity.

The team is part of the Volvo Penta Product and Solutions Development organization and as the Manager Connectivity you will play an important role in the Electronics & Software Engineering management team. You will work cross functionally with other teams within Volvo Penta, Volvo Group and partners. With your mindset and networking skills you will find the way forward together with your team and your stakeholders.

You have the Drive to develop your team, the organization and yourself. You are the person who acts with a clear sense of ownership and you have strong networking and communication skills. You have an academic education within the engineering area or equivalent work life experience.
