Technical 3D Artist/Realtime Visualizer

Volvo Group Design is the design function for the Group’s brands and business areas. The team provides design to products, digital solutions and services from the three studios located in Gothenburg, Sweden, Lyon, France and Greensboro NC, US.

We are now looking for a skilled 3D artist to join our design team located in Lundby, Gothenburg.

Position Description
You will have the opportunity to be part of developing our VR and unreal Engine set up for Volvo Group. You will work with all our business areas to make sure they have high quality images, animations and real-time/VR experiences for presentations.

You should have a broad experience in the design visualization process to be able to bring great content together with designers and studio engineers.

As a visualization artist in Volvo Group Design, you will have the opportunity to visualize the next generation of Volvo Group’s vehicles.

In this role you will mainly work with Unreal Engine and develop this part of our team. You will be in the forefront of real-time visualization and bring high end images and animations as an output to all our business areas, both internally and externally. You will also have the ability to bring new experience and show ambition and opportunities in a creative and exciting environment.

By using the latest VR/AR equipment and software you will be part of visualize futuristic products and vehicles in an immersive way.

Requirements
  • Working experience as a visualization designer, 3D artist or visualization artist in the automotive industry or similar business
  • Passion for being ambitious and a desire to be the best in your field.
  • Team player, who enjoys working with a diversified team.
  • Advanced software skills in Unreal Engine
  • Experience with data preparation
  • VR/AR
  • Animation experience
  • Automotive design process experience
  • Fluent in English

Beneficial knowledge
  • Software skills such as Maya, 3ds Max, Blender etc. is beneficial
  • Polygon modeling
  • Photoshop
  • CREO
  • Photography/filming
In this position you will report to the Group Manager Models & Visualization and be placed in Gothenburg.
