The Electromobility Department is responsible for developing electromobility solutions and to secure a stepwise implementation in different segments/regions. This organization develops and drives the electromobility product portfolio for Trucks & Buses as well as creating opportunities for all business areas within the Volvo Group. We are growing to shape the future!

A key component within the electrified powertrain is the Energy Storage System (ESS). At our section, we are accountable for the lifecycle management of the ESS, from advanced engineering, product development into the maintenance phase.

We now recruiting a Group Manager for ESS Diagnostics

Responsibilities/Main tasks
We are looking for a new leader for the team that is technology driven, comfortable leading change, customer oriented, supportive and a coach for the team as well as the individuals in the team. As a leader you need to ensure right pre-requisites for the team to deliver according to requirements, quality and timeplan. We believe that you have previous experience from being a leader in any form and that you have several years of experience from Software development, Diagnostic systems development and data analytics. Preferable you also have experience from a work environment were agile and lean principles are applied in a practical way in daily work.

Technically you and your team will be the overall responsible for the development of diagnostic systems of the batteries by defining functional diagnostic requirements, propose, investigate, and agree on solutions, implement and follow up the solutions, both with interface towards suppliers and for inhouse developed battery management system.

Through technical leadership on a holistic level you will secure products with high customer value throughout its lifecycle. As a leader you will secure cross functional cooperation with other functions to secure aligned plans both short term and long term.

Qualifications

• Strong drive and energy level with ability to create a high performing working culture
• A leader with courage and integrity who can lead and drive changes together with the team
• Team oriented with proven interest in people development
• Experience from product development, mechatronic systems and software/function development
• Experience from Diagnostic System Development and OBD within automotive
• Experience from battery management system with focus on diagnostics
• Communicative and with good influencing skills
• Education at M.Sc. level or similar
• Previous leadership experience is merit
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
