You will have a leading others responsibility
When targeting the next generation products and solutions demands increase on the control systems, functionality and software development. We are now creating this dedicated Software development team to optimize our focus in the area.
As the Manager Software Development you will lead the team responsible for development of software functionality as well as methods and ways of working. Feature development is performed for our electromobility solutions, fuel cells as well as combustion engines and this team will develop software in Simulink with input from our system engineers. We develop solutions for both Marine and Industrial applications and maintain them throughout all the phases in the product lifecycle.
The team contributes to functionality for new and existing technologies and is responsible for development, documentation and verification of the software. Tasks on your agenda can be to set the direction for software in the loop strategy, take the dialogue regarding software development tools with our colleagues within Volvo group, encourage new ideas for software testing methods, find competence for fuel cell functionality and some points we have not even thought about yet, but you will bring to the table with your experience and curiosity.

The team is part of the Volvo Penta Product and Solutions Development organization and as the Manager Software development you will play an important role in the Electronics & Software Engineering management team. You will work cross functionally with other teams within Volvo Penta, Volvo Group and partners.
