Portfolio and Feature Brand Distinction is a function within Strategic Product Planning. We build strategic directions for customer feature areas to guide the product development. We use surveys, market- and competitor intelligence to ensure the valid input to our strategic directions. The strategy is used to set targets for new products enabling the Volvo Group brands to be in the lead when the Volvo Group transforms towards 100% fossil free in 2040.
We are now looking for a Feature and Brand distinction manager.
The Position:
The feature and brand distinction manager drives brand distinction from a customer feature perspective. We work with brand distinction for products, components and services to ensure the customer experience for the Volvo Group truck brands.
The Volvo Group has a strong technical foundation in CAST (Common Architecture and Shared Technology). In this role you will balance to reach optimal combination between common and unique, always with the customer in focus. The work is truly cross-functional to identify and align areas for distinction and drive them to decision.
In this position, you will also have the responsibility to coordinate the customer feature areas to ensure alignment throughout the organization enabling distinct products for the Volvo Group truck brands.
This position is also a team leader role for the feature specialists within the Portfolio and Feature brand distinction group. The team leader role is to lead and coordinate the work to ensure consistent deliveries.
To be successful in this task, you will have to have the customer experience in mind all the time, including a deep understanding of the importance of a brand.

Other important aspects are an analytical way of working, capacity to handle large amount of information and make clear conclusions leading to decisions. You don’t hesitate to speak your mind, have high integrity and a winning attitude.
Your background is probably from working with brands and brand distinction, directly or indirectly. You hold a master’s degree with minimum of seven years’ experience from a relevant field. Experience from engineering or the truck industry is a strong asset to understand our challenges, markets and business environment.
