About us:

Engine Development and Field Testing within Product Development is responsible for testing and optimization of both Hardware and Software regarding performance, emission and durability of all our power units, both for Marine and Industrial applications. There are about 80 Engineers working in different projects. We are divided into four groups, Marine Development and Calibration, Industrial Development and Calibration, Field testing and data management and Electromobility Verification & Validation, Diagnostics and AECD.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

As calibration leader (CL) at Volvo Penta you are responsible for engine base calibration, engine calibration application or EATS calibration. Within your function area you will work cross all projects, both marine and industrial.

You will participate in planning by estimate time and resources for calibration activities to support Project Manager Verification (PMV) with Feature plan.

Together with Configuration Manager (CM), Project Manager Verification (PMV) and Powertrain Electronics department secure that important software releases are planned for all projects for all calibration deliveries. For example, Durability test, Field Test, Certification and Start of Production (SOP)​.

You will lead and work closely with calibration engineers. Supporting in their daily calibration work. Taking part of dataset reviews and follow up of dataset maturity.

You will be responsible to keep common strategies between the projects when possible.

As Calibration Leader you will also contribute with your calibration experience and knowledge to other functions within the organization e.g., Quality, Sales, Aftermarket, Powertrain Electronics and Certification.​


About you and qualifications:

Experience

We see that you have several years of experience in engine development, calibration and that you have a good understanding of engine control systems. You have proven leadership experience and know how to prioritize.
  • Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or similar relevant technical experience
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken
