At On board Connectivity, we are in the middle of the digital transformation. We have just recently launched a new in-house developed connectivity platform which is a key enabler for this transformation with new functions and services. The development in connectivity domain is increasing dramatically with new communication technologies which give us new opportunities to develop innovative solutions to increase value for our customers. Our platform architectural runway is continuously adapting to what is coming. There are new innovative services to be developed and a lot is happening and will happen in the areas E-mobility, AI, IoT, Automation, Electrical Architectures and transport solutions e.g. C-ITS.

Our way of developing our products are by following the agile mindset from Scrum and Kanban. We work in cross functional teams and in close cooperation with our stakeholders. We have empowered teams and expect them to take the full delivery responsibility. The people we hire have both the attitude and competence to take on that responsibility. We currently have team members of all experience levels and many nationalities, as we believe diversity in teams boosts creativity.

The position
The mission for the Epic owner is to cross-functionally support the Vehicle/Technology stream deliveries of verified & validated components, systems & functions (HW/SW), according to agreed Epic description and acceptance criteria. You will manage interfaces with other GTT Vehicle/Technology streams, sub-streams and teams as well to coordinate the cross functional deliverables.

The epics in On board Connectivity Platform Technology Sub-Stream (OCP) cover and are related to our technology roadmaps which are SW&HW Connectivity platforms, wireless communication technologies, map&position, emergency calls and C-ITS. The Epics will be in various sizes and often need involvement from other Vehicle/Technology streams. The new electrical architecture, “T3”, will have a big impact on all our technology roadmaps.

What you’ll do
As Epic Owner you will ensure the complete product delivery according to the Epic description as well as detect and propose improvement based on the roadmap. You will:

• plan the right sequence of milestones and align these milestones with concerned parties cross-functionally
• ensure Epic breakdowns into a sequence of capabilities and features meeting the milestones
• synchronize capabilities to secure that milestones are met and escalate when needed with the product owners

Included in your role is also to support and communicate across organizational boundaries, in order to safeguard the Epic delivery. When applicable, you have the mission to build and update the Business case for the complete product change.
