MATERIAL CONTROLLER

We are Volvo Blainville Material Control team and we are looking for opportunities to reinforce us. As Material Control Department, our aim is to manage our suppliers in order to get material available for our production processes (welding, painting, cab trimming, trucks assembly).

WHAT DOES IT MEAN ?
  • To secure that we are sending the right material requirement to our suppliers.
  • To challenge our suppliers in order to improve their performance.
  • To work in partnership with several deaprtments withinour company (production, transport, purchasing, design, Supplier Relationship Manager, quality, etc.).
  • To ensure that our suppliers are compliant with our delivey rules.
  • To maintain the right level of stock coverage and stock reliability in order to preserve our cash flow, to match our storage capacity, and to securise risk of shortage.
  • To deal with crisis situation, protecting our production.
  • To be an active partner in cross-functional supply chain projects.
ARE YOU THE PERFECT APPLICANT ?
  • You have good people skills and you have a high persuasive force.
  • You do not like routine and enjoy a job full of unexpected events.
  • You like to face challenges, look for solution that are sometimes innovative and complex.
  • You are fluent in English and you are comfortable with contact worldwide in several daily phone call, even in situation of high tension.
  • You have a good understanding of supply chains.
  • You are able to manage several topics in the meantime, often in short notice and despite several disturbances.
  • You are very familiar with common office sofwares, being also familiar with BI & Office 365 new tools would be very appreciated.
  • You have a minimum training in Logistics of 2 or 3 years Post Bac with a first successful experience in a similar industrial environment.
