We have an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Sales Administrator to join our busy Commercial Sales team based in Motherwell. Our site located in Motherwell, Scotland, designs and manufactures Rigid & Articulated Trucks for distribution around the globe. The company is part of Volvo Construction Equipment, and the site has manufactured trucks for over 65 years. The Commercial Sales Administrator role is key to our global operation and the successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end sales administration process from the initial point of order through to dispatch.

Please note this role is eligible for part time (minimum of 25 hours per week) and flexible working.

Main Duties & Responsibilities;

• Entry of unit/loose option sales orders
• Internal procedures – contract reviews, credit checks, raising internal purchase orders
• Order management and fulfillment in line with customer’s requirements.
• Liaison with Finance, Purchasing, Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure delivery to customer
• Handling external customer/dealer queries and complaints and internal liaison queries.
• Transport and shipping – liaison with haulers, shipping lines; producing required customs documentation
• Management of payment terms and liaise with Finance dept over receivables
• Assist in maintaining global sales data
• Preparation of price/delivery quotations
• Administration of Letters of Credit


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities;

• Experience of export and customs procedures preferred (Shipping and documentation)
• Excellent customer service with a customer centric focus to all aspects of work
• Articulate and effective communicator- languages a benefit but not a prerequisite
• Numerate and IT literate (Word, Excel and Outlook minimum).
• Flexible and creative approach to work with good problem-solving and resolution skills
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision or guidance
