Lead Engineer, System Testing

Job Summary:
• Lead the system test engineers’ daily operation, capability improvement.
• Lead the system test projects in NPD, PM, AE, internal & external etc
• Lead the test rig’s investment, execution, daily maintainance and continue improvement activity
• Lead the interface and connection between JTC and global system and component verification and testing.
Main Tasks/ Responsibilities / Authorities:
• Develop the system and component test capability.
• Coordinate the system test engineer, mechanic and the other necessary resources to support the project needs.
• Update and follow up the fixed assets budget related to the system and component test rig and facility.
• Continually improve the V&V method and operations quality, efficiency and cost by implementing the tool of VPS, QDCF, CI and 5S etc.
• Secure Volvo Group’s Quality, Safety & Health, Environmental Policy and code of condact are implemented

Key Skills:
• Strong system and component testing knowledge and skill, such as axle, transmission, hydraulic, structure etc, Transmission related experience is preferred.
• Strong rig update and maintenance knowledge and skill. Have e - transmission rig updated related experience is preferred.
• Strong communication and coordination skill. Leading project or people related experience is preferred.

Education/Professional Qualifications required for the position:
• BSc or equivalent within Engineering area or similar.
• 10 + years of working experience
• 3 + years leading project or a small team.
• A working knowledge of quality & efficiency improvement tools such as 5S, CI, Innovation etc.
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Good skills in English, written and spoken
