Hydraulic System Engineer

Job Summary
This position is mainly responsible for selection, design and improvement of Hydraulic system/component to support the product development and improvement (Excavator/Wheel loader/Road machine).

Main Tasks/Responsibilities/Authorities:
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Secure Volvo Group’s Quality, Safety & Health, Environmental Policy and code of conduct are implemented
2. Be responsible for Hydraulic system/components of excavators. Proceed feasibility analysis, put forward the design scheme, and complete HYD system design
3. Make 2D/3D drawings for HYD parts of HYD system
4. Build up engineering bill of materials
5. Be responsible for technical communication with suppliers, determine the technical proposal
6. Assist assembly line of factory to solve assembly/test issue of HYD system
7. Assist test engineers or technician to run HYD system required test
8. Conduct / Support quality/ failure issue analysis, solving and continuous improvement action on daily work
9. Compile related technical documents independently such as test method, assembly instruction, related presentation materials
10. Working closely with cross-function engineers, suppliers, customers, plants and global HYD teams to accomplish competitive designs

Key Skills/Working Experience
1. Master degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering, hydraulic as preferred
2. More than 3 years hydraulic system development experience (Better to have working experience on HYD system of Excavator/ Wheel loader/Road machine)
3. Basic HYD component/system knowledge of Excavator/ Wheel loader/Road machine or other closely related construction equipment/vehicle
4. Experience in hydraulic hose routing (piping layout) on Excavator/ Wheel loader/Road machine or other closely related construction equipment/vehicle
5. Familiar with 3D software (Catia/Creo) and PLM system (such as Windchill)
6. MS Office (required)
7. Good communication ability and coordination skills,
8. Good English ability of reading, writing and speaking
9. Can analysis and solve the relevant HYD system issue accurately and timely
10. Willing to learn new knowledge, strong sense of responsibilities, hard-working and teamwork
