Foundational Products & Chapters is part of Technology, a new function within Volvo Group Digital & IT with a big stake in the Group’s digital transformation. Technology will modernize Volvo’s core digital backbone making it a platform for digital products. Foundational Products & Chapters are responsible for API & Integration, DevSecOps, Cloud and Development Platforms. Our Foundational IT products are used by digital product teams and enable them and their products to outperform Volvo’s competitors. Our digital talents develop capabilities and digital technologies to improve business performance and create value for the Group with speed and at scale.

We collaborate with other parts of the organization, both in Group IT, with TD/BAs and Group Functions. We foster an environment where ideas, thoughts and opinions can be shared. We are team players with clear common ambitions, and we win together.

You are a person who has great experience and a true passion for modern software development utilizing DevSecOps and see the benefit that great tooling can provide from a business purpose. You are curious to understand the needs of the teams to be able to provide the best fit in our solutions. You always have an ear with your stakeholders and believe in the power of collaboration. As Senior DevSecOps Engineer working in the DevSecOps Platforms team you will be heavily involved in driving the future DevSecOps Tool chain, engage with the market and collaborate closely with the Software Engineering community to both understand needs and to ensure that we provide a best in class and fit for purpose, technology agnostic tool chain, to enable Volvo Group Digital & ITs transformation journey.

Who are you?

We believe you thrive on working in a global team with amazing, talented people. To be successful in this position we believe you have a university degree or equivalent, and several years of experience from software development. You have experience in implementing Cloud based applications, preferably in MS Azure and or GitHub. You have been a practitioner in Software Engineering or IT Architecture for 5+ years.

It is a benefit to have experience of implementing DevSecOps or DevOps Toolchains, CI/CD pipelines and have a broad experience of Development tools.

In addition to this, you are a passionate believer in continuous learning. You should feel energized by working both independently and interdependently, have proven skills in cross-functional collaboration.

Required experience

• Proven experience in administration of Azure DevOps setup, schedule installations and upgrades

• Experience in configuration of user groups and other access control elements to integrate with Active Directory (AD)

• Experience of continuous integration, continuous delivery, automated testing and all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle will be an added advantage

• Strong experience with advanced automated systems and scripting using Shell

• Experience with Azure Environment is a plus
