Recruiter - University Relations

We are looking for a University Relations Recruiter to join our team, who will execute the Volvo Group recruiting process for university and specialty program hires. You will have full process responsibility, including assessing and hiring active university candidates. You will implement a cohesive local and national campus recruiting strategy designed to identify and recruit top talent through campus programs, university relations, and internal referrals. This role will be in located Greensboro, NC.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Heavy participation in UR focused campus and virtual activities
  • Post open positions at target universities
  • Identify relevant opportunities for engagement (career fairs, info sessions, spotlights, On-campus interviews)
  • Manage logistics for assigned campus engagements (set-up, signage, materials, interview rooms, etc.)
  • Maintain relationships with staff, students, and alumni
  • Requisition management through the verbal offer
  • Review and post all approved requisitions, including working with external vendors to create and place an advertisement
  • Review candidate resumes and credentials to match skills, experience, and knowledge with the right positions
  • Conduct and/or schedule applicant prescreens and interviews
  • May support University Relations Manager in implementing recruitment strategies
  • Works collaboratively with the Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners to ensure an efficient, compliant recruitment process.
  • Provide support with analytics and metrics reporting
  • Execute recruitment strategies
  • Maintain a network of dedicated resources within each business to support campus activities

Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge skills, and abilities

Experience Requirements:
  • Experience with full-cycle recruitment
  • Experience from working in a global organization preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, and provide consultative skills throughout the process
  • Demonstrated capacity for successfully working in a high-volume recruitment environment
  • Excellent adaptability, effective communication, & collaboration
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities
  • The ability and flexibility to travel during peak season (September through March)
Necessary technical/functional/language skills:
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment
  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices
  • Proficiency in Kenexa, SAP SuccessFactors or equivalent applicant tracking systems
