Mission / Purpose of the job
The Controlling & Product Finance organization is an important function to secure long term profitability within the Volvo Group Trucks Technology.

Within C&PF you belong to Business Control team.
As Business Controller you will be reporting to Manager, Business Control (Bangalore)

GTT Business Control is responsible for consolidating and follow up on the GTT financial performance, do the financial planning and forecasting including developing the related process, tools and principles. The business control team works closely with the executive management and the different business functions, which puts strong demands on order and clarity as well as on business focus in a dynamic environment.

We are a great team located in Bangalore, Curitiba, Gothenburg, Greensboro and Lyon who are supporting both the local as well as the global management on all GTT related financial items and processes. We are now looking for a Business Controller in Bangalore.


Roles and Responsibilities
  • Will be a member of the business controlling team supporting with monthly reports, analysis and investigations
  • Support the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting process
  • Provide much needed support in developing and driving improvements of the business control process
  • Will be effectively and concisely supporting in documentation of the process and implementation of best practice
  • Will work closely with the team to ensure that month-end closing and reporting are delivered in time and with high accuracy and as needed relevant accruals
  • Coordinate with all the relevant stakeholders to ensure efficient functioning of the Business Controlling processes
  • Preparation of adhoc reports and analysis to ensure alignment and guidance for controlling activities
  • Drive your own personal learning through maximizing the scope offered by the role and the creation of a focused development plan with specific actions and timelines.
Skill Set
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation ability
  • Highly self-driven and independent
  • Be able to correlate quantitative data with qualitative data to create a complete perspective on a situation.
  • Timely and accurate business reporting supporting good business decisions and planning
  • Interest in continuous improvement and in the technical aspects of reporting.
  • Multi-national corporate work experience preferred
  • Strong presentation and excellent communication skills with experience in various business settings
  • Personally committed to continuously improving him/herself; understanding that different situations and levels may call for different skills and approaches
  • Excellent abilities to prioritize, provide clear directions and multi task
  • Strong proficiency with financial system, SAP, BW and MS Office applications (strong Excel knowledge)
Qualification and Experience:
  • M.Com / MBA (Finance) with overall 3 to 5 years of experience in Financial Reporting
  • Automotive industry experience will be an advantage
  • Fluent in English, written and oral
