Head of Trade finance and Risk management

VBC Trade finance and Risk management is a central function responsible for the overall Trade Finance and Credit management activities for Business Area Buses and is part of the Volvo Buses Business Office function. The Head of Trade finance reports directly to the SVP Business office and CFO of Volvo Buses and manages a team of 2 persons. As our current Head of the function is retiring, we are now looking for his successor.

Job description:

We are looking for an experienced Finance person to lead the Trade finance department in Gothenburg, with a global responsibility for the areas of Trade finance, Credit management and Tax coordination. Experience from the abovementioned areas is considered great assets. Being part of the Business office management team and working in a global environment, also gives opportunities and put demands on building a good overall business knowledge and network in order to participate in relevant decision fora and setting directives.

Main responsibilities:
  • Trade finance activities
  • Credit management
  • Bank and Export credit agencies relations.
  • Cash management and liquidity planning

  • Currency Management

  • Insurance matters

  • Transfer price management

  • Tax coordinator Business Area Buses
  • Responsible for related directives and instructions for Business Area Buses
  • Active development and training within Trade finance areas
  • Strong interaction with Volvo Buses business units and Group Treasury organization

Required Education and experience:
  • Senior experience from the Finance and Trade finance area
  • Functional leadership experience and capabilities, strong in building teams and secure collaborations cross functions
  • Structured and driving personality with high level of integrity.
  • Ability to work independently in a flexible and multi-cultural environment.
  • Ability to speak and write English fluently.
