LEAD Engineer – Chassis Structures and Battery Box

Do you visualize yourself leading a defined area of technical expertise, with high technical complexity? How interesting does it sound to you to be the one providing key inputs to product and system roadmaps?
Be on the driver seat to develop industry disrupting Products from research/early phases of development all the way till Product maintenance.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Take the lead in Design of Frames, Cross Members and Advanced Structures as per truck market requirement
  • High competence and expertise in defining a clear roadmap within chassis structural areas in line with organization’s strategic interests and understanding in the broader business context​
  • ​Be a natural go-to person for complex discipline related issues​
  • ​Delivers value through decision-making even under ambiguity based on up-to-date market understanding, collaborate with suppliers to co-develop advanced solutions
  • Be an active coach and mentor within the team of engineers working in the chassis structure competence area ​

Required Competencies:
  • BE/ME in Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience of 10-14 yrs
  • Hands on work experience in similar automotive- Chassis Structures
  • Experience in heavy commercial vehicle industry will be strong added advantage
  • Good knowledge of application of GD&T
  • Have holistic view on deliverables from other interfaces to secure quality & readiness before release.
  • Knowledge of Chassis Equipment’s packaging, routing & development.
  • Knowledge of EV structural development is an added advantage

  • Willingness to learn and develop your own skills and abilities.
  • Excellent communication, Goal oriented & Drive for Results.
  • Be structured, well organized, recognize the value and importance of providing solutions with the right quality level and in time
  • You must be someone who is a team player, High on energy and is interested in working with Global Sites.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Develop and share acquired competence (e.g. training) and provide technical advice.
  • Manage networking across the organization, as well as influencing the work in other sites.
