EES MP has an inspiring Project Program ongoing with new generation(s) of Electronic Hardware (ECUs) and new Software Frameworks(s). We develop HW and SW building blocks for the E&E systems in the complete VCE machine range, so we offer you a chance to work globally and cross functionally within Volvo CE.
As Embedded Software Engineer, you will join a team that develops and maintains the software frameworks, which are used in all of Volvo CE machines.
In our environment, you will find and work with C++, Python, and several operating system such as Rubus

You have professional experience from some of the embedded programming languages mentioned above, and you can use them in an effective way. You love to learn and develop new technologies and apply them in your everyday job, and you are comfortable to work and communicate closely in a team environment.

Job tasks, example
  • Create and refine software requirements, software design, technical and User documentation
  • Implement and test new functions in the framework(s)
  • Work cross functionally with other departments to design and secure the very best functionality
  • Support users of the software frameworks within our global organization

Experience and Qualifications
  • Relevant academic background, e.g. M.Sc or B.Sc in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent technical field of study.
  • Previous work experience in software development for Real-time embedded systems.
  • Basic knowledge in electronics is required to be able to analyze and understand electrical circuits
  • Experience of working with requirements, documentation and module test
  • Experience of working in Automotive and ISO 14229 is beneficial
  • Fluent in Swedish and English (written and spoken)
