Electromobility Engineer

Electromobility Engineer
Salary up to £45,000 plus bonus, car & excellent benefits

Full Time - Permanent

The UK is committed to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050 and Renault Trucks is leading the transition of the transport sector from diesel to alternative energies. We need passionate and enthusiastic people to help us help vehicle operators move quickly to a zero carbon future.

We are tripling the size of our electric team and want to bring in engineers who will work alongside customers and our sales staff to create solutions for operators wanting to move from diesel to electric. We want you to explain the capability of today’s technology and to introduce tomorrow’s, helping operators bring new vehicles into their fleets without the CO2 – everything from delivery vans to bin lorries today, with the biggest trucks from next year!

You’ll be joining a highly motivated and creative team, committed and empowered to make a difference. You’ll be very hands-on with customers, helping them understand how to decarbonise their fleets, and then helping them make best use of their new vehicles. You’ll be respected and rewarded as an expert in the electric arena, with great opportunity to develop within Renault Trucks and our parent company Volvo Group.
This is a hugely exciting time to be involved in the transport industry – there will be more change in the next five years than in the past 50 years, and you have a chance to be part of it from the start. We need you to be happy to travel to customers (typically 2-3 days per week), so need a driving licence and a willingness to stay away from home on occasions. 96% of the goods we consume every day have been transported by a commercial vehicle. Join us as an electromobility engineer to take the carbon out of the supply chain, and do a job which genuinely makes the world a better place.

WHAT CAN WE OFFER YOU?
  • The opportunity to be part of the transformation of the sector and accelerate the transition to zero carbon commercial vehicles
  • The support of a great team
  • We will trust you to lead on electromobility issues, supporting both Renault Trucks sales staff and, prospects and customers
  • Ongoing training and development
  • 5 weeks holiday plus bank holidays
  • Private Medical Insurance via BUPA, for you and your family
  • A generous contributory pension scheme.
  • Company car (fully electric or hybrid) and free on-site parking
  • Subsidised canteen and coffee shop
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Programme
  • You will also have access to a wide range of employee discounts including half price cinema tickets, discounted gym membership and lots of shopping and social discounts.

WHO ARE YOU?
  • You have a background in engineering with relevant qualifications e.g. HNC or HND in an engineering or technical subject. If you haven’t got the qualification tell us why you think you can do the job!
  • You are customer focussed with first class communication skills
  • You are an excellent organiser with good administrative skills
