We are Purchasing Solution Centre within RnDP SDU working to increase efficiency through our current set of applications and modern solutions. Our existing solution and service offerings to the Procurement business in Volvo Group comprises of a mixture of varied technologies Microsoft, Java, Mainframe and Off the shelf IT solutions like SAP Ariba, Trade shift, SAP FieldGlass. We find ourselves on the cusp of a transformation with heavy investments to transform our existing portfolio. We also build mobile apps and micro services, leverage RPA and predictive data analysis and very curious about how technology can add value to our business.

Role mission & context

As a Senior Developer, your primary responsibility will be to design and develop and maintain solutions within our applications and coordinate with the rest of the team working on different integrations. You will work along with an energetic team to design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code. You will identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address business issues. With customer as our main focus, you will practice commitment to collaborative problem solving, build, design, and deliver quality products.

Required competencies:

Mandatory Skills:
- Proficient in COBOL, JCL, DB2
- Skilful in writing Unit and Integration Tests
- Hands on experience on Views and Triggers Design for DB2, MQ integrations and Query
Optimization
- Basic working knowledge of IMS DB/DC
- Experience in IVORY and RDz is an added advantage
