Position DescriptionSenior Configuration Engineer: EE PlatformWe are the Electrical and Electronics Platform (EEP) in the Electrical and Electronics Architecture technology stream. EEP is responsible to define, develop and maintain the full-embedded system lifecycle as a platform from EE roadmap, change management to lean and agile EE portfolio and solution management.

Your Role A brief description of the day-to-day activities are: -
- Co-ordinate with the Development teams to secure the needed updates in the tools before the specified timeline.
- Ensure that the documentation is consistent without any blockers/stoppers for the Release. If consistent, to release the Electrical Specification in the tool on every 10th week.
- Look into the time-plan of the deliveries and keep informed the Development teams about the deadlines to avoid any last minute’s changes/updates in the tools and to plan their activities accordingly with the time-plan.
- Support the Development teams and the external Suppliers with the required documentation releases into the tool chain after every release of the Specification.
- Furnish the trainings to the Agile teams on request basis to make them aware of the importance of quality and consistent documentation
- At times, assist the Function Development teams in fixing the inconsistencies in their documentation.
- Proactively, fix the warnings/errors in the Specification and raise a flag with the concerned before every 10th week release to make them aware of the discrepancies in their documentation
- At times, should be able to write/update the System Specifications to assist the Development teams when starting any new Development activity.
- Ensure that the updates in the System Specifications are being reviewed and released in the central systems for the others to refer.
- Bring in best practices, methods/ways to improvise the way of working
Relevant Experience- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in electronics, software, computer engineering (or similar)
- 5 + years of experience in within Automotive as embedded SW development
With good insight of product documentation.
- Knowledge on the Software Configuration Management, Change Management and Release Management.
- Good understanding on the Software Development Life Cycle and the SW Implementation flow
- Good at understanding the flow of the Release process and should be able to visualize them in practice.
- Knowledge on the J1939 Protocols, AUTOSAR standards and other such communication standards.
- Knowledge on Project Management tool like JIRA and as well Confluence is an added advantage.
- Knowledge on the Agile SAFe Way of Working
- Knowledge on the Automotive systems and their Network architecture is an added advantage.
- Good communication skills, both written as well speaking.
- Worked on Enterprise Architect tool is a merit
