Forecasting and Cash Flow Analyst

The purpose of is this job is to manage cash and banking transactions for in-scope North America companies, to ensure that the financial assets of the company are protected and reported in a timely and accurate manner.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Manage funds to ensure obligations are met to optimize use of cash by monitoring cash position.
  • Collaborate with O2C/AP/IT teams to ensure any issues regarding bank files, up-load data to general ledger, electronic payments are resolved to ensure correct and timely accounting of cash.
  • Act as liaison between external bank, Volvo companies and Volvo Treasury on bank-related issues and projects to facilitate payments and movement of cash.
  • Handle emergency and manual payments to ensure timeliness of disbursements.
  • Coordinate opening of bank accounts with Volvo Treasury North America.
  • Work with Volvo Treasury North America to ensure adequate security is in-place to protect financial assets of the company.
  • Responsible for testing of checks and file transfers associated with new accounts or changes in existing accounts.
  • Responsible for signature control and control of bank computer systems and software to ensure cash is protected and managed efficiently.
  • Work on ad hoc projects as needed.

Required Competencies:
  • Knowledge of Banking Industry to be proficient with PC or internet-based banking
  • Effective communication, leadership and management skills
  • Thorough knowledge of internal control procedures for accounting and financial compliance.
  • In depth business knowledge and understanding of the end-to-end processes
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Basic knowledge of SAP.
  • Experience handling Bank wires and software

Minimum Education Required:
  • BS/BA in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience required.

Minimum Years of Experience Required:
  • 5-10+ years’ experience in cash management and banking systems or equivalent.
