Volvo Buses in Wrocław is looking for candidates for the position of: Commodity Buyer

Responsibilities:
  • Manages supplier base and contribute to building expertise within defined segments
  • Performs activities required for the portfolio: e.g., negotiations of supplier agreements and major commercial conditions, project implementation, crisis and risk management, sustainability activities, ensures supplier readiness for production
  • Initiates, drives or supports cost reduction activities in order to achieve product costs targets, actively looks for new technical opportunities together with her/his counterpart from Engineering
  • Continuously follows up supplier performance (e.g. Cost, Quality & Deliveries)
  • Ensure strong and efficient collaboration with a large internal network

Skills & Requirements:
  • Higher education, technical or economic preferred
  • At least 3 years of professional experience in a manufacturing company in Purchasing Department
  • Change Management and Strategic Thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Cost reduction oriented
  • Holistic view
  • Team player attitude
  • Continuous Improvement mindset
  • Focus on results
  • Perseverance
  • Fluent in English with strong communication and presentation skills
  • Very good knowledge of Polish
