ROLE DESCRIPTION
As a Senior buyer and Segment Leader for Frame rails & Cab tilt systems, you will be taking the lead in driving our Frame rails & Cab tilt systems business. Your purchasing responsibilities will be focusing on areas such as:
  • Own and develop the segment strategy, consolidate inputs from a global network of buyers, and ensure cross functional alignment
  • Be an expert on the related segment, defining the purchasing strategies, sourcing and managing suppliers, in link with industrial and technical roadmaps
  • Forecast cost evolution for your scope, implement agreements, secure competitiveness and cost levels in line with the market
  • Monitor your Supply Chain, identify and mitigate risks in cooperation with internal stakeholders (Quality, Manufacturing & many others)
  • Bring innovation in your scope and actively contribute to the VOLVO Transformation & Sustainable journey

  • You have a business or engineering degree, with at least 5-years purchasing in experience, preferably in automotive
  • You are fluent in English

This position will be located either in Gothenburg, Sweden or in Lyon, France.
