We are looking for an Electrical Maintenance to join our Facilities team to complete reactive and planned preventative maintenance, installation, retrofit and repair of Plant, Equipment and Services within all areas of our Manufacturing Facility on a rotational 3Shift pattern.


You will join a team that is responsible for a full range of electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic aspects of equipment maintenance of CNC machine tools, manual machines, shotblast/paint shop, compressed air systems, overhead cranes, welding equipment, installation & testing and commissioning of equipment.

The role will require good cross-functional collaboration with the wider Motherwell team to enhance machine performance & reliability through preventative maintenance as well as the efficient resolution of issues involving fault finding. In your work you will embrace all three principles of the Volvo CE philosophy: Flow, Continuous Improvement and Perform & Develop while ensuring compliance to health and safety standards.


To be successful in this role, we believe you will:
  • Have HNC Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
  • Hold SVQ Level 3: Engineering Maintenance (Electrical)
  • Be a time served Electrical Maintenance Engineer
  • Be experienced in servicing, fault finding and repairing machine tools
  • Have full working knowledge of electrical systems & basic knowledge of mechanical systems & building services
  • Be familiar with CMMS
  • Be able to work at heights
  • Have problem solving and fault finding skills
  • Preferably have 3+ years post apprenticeship experience and hold a valid forklift/IPAF licence
