As you can imagine, keeping track of over 1 000 000 connected customer assets rolling around the world is indeed a challenge. Now ponder, that vehicles in a few years will be autonomous – and you’ve got the challenge of your life. Our Technology team manages the development and maintenance of our global connectivity platform – and your experience is needed.

We are now looking for a Delivery Leader IT within Foundation Services VGCS, Bangalore. In this position you will be working with a group of talented Operations and Cloud Engineers supporting the Telematics platform deliveries hosted in Cloud environment for both Runtime and One-time deliveries.

The role
  • Cooperate with IT stakeholders to secure efficient run-time for assigned local or regional solutions/services
  • Guide team members and plan, steer critical change activities in both onetime and runtime support.
  • Plan and execute daily functional tasks coordination with the team members.
  • Responsible for sharing information and activities, which could impact IT deliveries or services, with relevant stakeholders
  • Responsible for validation of production changes
  • Cooperate with Group IT functions and partners to secure an efficient IT delivery
  • Secure work prioritization and distribution within the team and coordinate team’s activities
  • Responsible for securing IT delivery in line with decided directives and frameworks
  • Report to the DM or Onsite Manager and provide information about results and deviations regarding activities and plans
  • Report on agreed KPI’s
  • Initiate, support, drive and implement continuous improvement activities
  • Build open, honest and collaborative mindset within the team
  • Responsible for legacy / preserving solutions / services
  • Ensure communication / collection / sharing relevant information with stakeholders, team members, and partners in a systematic way

Your profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science Engineering.
  • Overall, 10 to 12 years of IT Industry experience.
  • At least 2 to 3 years of team management as a team leader.
  • Worked in a Global support and operations context.
  • Experience in, Micro services architecture and DevOps methods.
  • Hands-on Experience in Linux/Unix, and IT Services Operations management.
  • Hands-on Experience in AWS (Cloud computing), Infrastructure management
  • Hands-on Experience in scripting (Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl)
  • Hands-on Experience in DevOps tools (Jenkins, Ansible, Dockers, GitHub etc)
  • Experience in planning and guiding team members in Change, Maintenance and Projects activities.
  • Working knowledge on tools such as SNOW and JIRA.
  • On-call support experience.
  • Basic database knowledge (Oracle, PostGres, Mongo DB)
  • Basic knowledge in Network (Fire Wall, Load Balancers…)
  • Knowledge in ITIL (Incident, Problem and Change management)
  • Telecom experience is an advantage
