Solution Java Architect

As Senior IT Architect you will be involved in consulting activities with the main focus on cloud native aspects including modern architectural styles like microservices, modern monolith, event driven - providing reference architecture and methods for Java community in-lined with both DevSecOps ways of working and strategy targeting Cloud as well as On Prem platform in Volvo. You will interact with other teams like Frontend or API/Integration Platform to secure full alignment on the digital transformation strategy. You will play a vital role in sharing your expertise among other departments, supporting Cloud adoption and DevSecOps initiatives. As part of your duties you will support, coach and educate others in both new development and application modernization related activities.

As our new colleague you will be responsible for:
• Defining and building cloud native reference architecture targeting Cloud and Container Platforms
• Defining technology stack for the cloud native reference architecture targeting OpenShift, AKS as well as Microsoft Azure
• Supporting teams during software development lifecycle process
• Support teams in cloud adoption including rearchitect, replatform
• Defining migration strategies for legacy java applications
• Preparing/Sharing educational material covering best practices and guidelines in Java area

Who are you?
• Open-minded, modern software development enthusiast with continuous improvement mindset following market trends
• Have experience with modern architectural styles, including microservices (internal, external communication, distributed transactions, data consistency, security, observability, etc.)
• Have experience with at least one of following SpringCloud, SpringBoot, Vert.x, Quarkus
• Have experience with cloud native development methods
• Have perfect understanding of Docker and Kubernetes
• Have working experience with RedHat OpenShift platform or other container platforms
• Have experience with Microsoft Azure (certification is a plus)
• Very good knowledge of DevSecOps practices and methodology (CI/CD, security) including tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Github, Git
• Very good communication and presentation skills
