In this role you will be reporting to the Delivery Manager PTP Bangalore.
Position DescriptionAs
Software Engineer you will be responsible for:
Support and maintenance of Volvo Powertrain Production applications. Also, the candidate would be expected to work on design and development of CRs and in Project work.
Key responsibilities - Drive for new features in collaboration with product owners and design team i.e., research, design and write new software programs (e.g., business applications).
- Build innovative solutions and technologies to improve quality and performance.
- Assure know-how and capabilities build-up for software engineer cohort.
- Develop detailed designs of medium complexity applications
- Oversee and maintain all software engineering activities across products/teams.
- Responsible for the development of high quality, scalable and maintainable systems using service oriented architecture.
- Write and test code, refining and rewriting it as necessary and communicate with any team member involved in the project.
- Support end-users in runtime (e.g third line support).
Your Profile:Strong experience of working in an IT delivery organization including solid application development experience. Experience from working in a global context
Mandatory Skills- Practical experience in ASP.NET using C#, .Net Framework 3.5 & above.
- Practical experience in Win forms using C#, .Net Framework 3.5 & above.
- Strong in Window Service development using C#
- Hands on experience on WCF (Windows Communication Foundation)
- Skilful in writing Unit and Integration Tests
- Expert in SQL Server programming like SPs , Database Design and Implementation, Query Optimization
- Experience of working on Visual Studio 2017/above, TFS
- Experience in development, application maintenance and Support projects.
- You can navigate with ease in a multi-cultural environment and actively cooperate with various stakeholders
- You have a strong focus on quality and you have a personal drive to reach objectives and targets
- You have a strong customer focus.
- Continuous improvement is your nature and you can drive changes.
- Good experience in Agile, SCRUM.
- Complete proficiency in English is a requirement.
- Minimum educational qualification should be BE/B.Tech/MCA
- 4-6 years of overall IT experience
Good to have Skills- Practical experience in NHibernate or any ORM.
- Basic Knowledge of WMQ and WMQ Client, WMQ Explorer.
- Practical experience in .NET Core and Angular JS is desirable.
- Having experience in one/more Emerging Technologies (like AI/ML, Cloud Computing, RPA, Data Analytics, Microservices etc.) would be an added advantage. Otherwise, should be willing to learn and acquire new skills and quickly work on new technologies.
- Understanding of Domain Driven Design
- Other Supporting Test Automation Tools like Ranorex or Selenium
Soft skills- Communication: Must possess good verbal and written Communication.
- Team Skills: Must be a team Player and be ready to stretch to meet the overall team objectives.
- Good in diagnostic and quick problem solving.
- Flexibility: The ideal candidate must be Flexible to work in New Developments, Maintenance and Support Activities including Shifts and Oncall Support as required.
