We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic person to take part in global mobile projects.

Mobile&XR team is a very dynamic, open and adaptive team mixing many skills and competences to keep ahead of mobile world changes. We have Developers, IT Architects, BAs, Testers, Support Specialists, Designers & PMs. Most of us working in a couple of roles in the agile way. 
We are part of Digital Technology department within Volvo Group Digital & IT organization.

Requirements:

  • Proficient with Java and Kotlin
  • Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end services
  • Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
  • Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
  • Knowledge of the open-source Android ecosystem and the libraries available for common tasks
  • Understanding of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines
  • Proficient understanding of Git
  • Familiarity with continuous integration
  • Understanding of various Software Architectural patterns


Good to have:

  • Experience with Cloud programming
  • React Native and/or iOS development experience
  • Security development experience
  • Knowledge of OWASP Top 10
  • Experience in SCRUM methodology


Nice to have:

  • Practical experience with Unity
  • Experience developing for mobile, Hololens, Oculus, Vive, and/or other platforms
  • Experience in C# and/or Javascript development
  • Experience in 3D graphics and tools like Blender, PTC Creo Elements/Parametric, Maya, 3D Max
