Manufacturing and Logistics Solutions (M&L) is a global unit within Group IT with the responsibility to ensure that all Volvo Group IT solutions and IT projects related to the manufacturing or logistics areas are well managed with a spirit of continuous improvement. We have approximately 1,000 people located in more than 20 sites in 14 countries worldwide.

Solution Center Production Logistics is a function in Manufacturing and Logistics Solutions managing the IT solutions used by GTO Production Logistics. They are responsible for supply material for all Volvo Group brands and Business Areas.

OTM application is used by Volvo to manage transportation of supply material to plants globally. Application are used to secure capacity for trailer/container, capture transport order, plan and book with carrier for different modes like LTL/FTL, Parcel, Ocean and Spot bid. Carrier communication and execution are managed via INTRAA / TRANSPOREON / PRECISION platform. It has connection with external rate engine Rateware and distance engine PTV map and guide. The OTM instance within Volvo is in the Oracle cloud.

We are now looking for an IT Architect OTM

Responsibilities:
As an OTM IT Architect, you will work as a critical member of the Global design, implementation team for OTM. You will be analyzing feasibility and impact of various Enhancements/Change Requirements (CRs) on existing configurations, before implementing the same. You would prepare mapping document to interface OTM system with Volvo internal and external SaaS based applications. You will be part of a global team consisting of Solution Leaders, Delivery Leader, Business Analysts, & Solution experts. The work will contain both new development and project work as well support of the running operations.

Requirements:

• Global mind set, able to work as collaboratively as part of a team at regional and global level
• A strong team player, comfortable working collaboratively, virtually and independently
• At least 10+ years of (Technical) experience with minimum 1 to 2 full life cycle Implementation of Oracle Transportation Management system
• Experience in integrating OTM with Oracle, SAP & other legacy Applications
• Expert in OTM core modules and over all understanding of OTM Technical Architecture
• Knowledge on external distance / rate engine connection with OTM
• Knowledge on integrating OTM with platforms like INTRAA / TRANSPOREON / GT Nexus
• OTM cloud implementation experience
• GTM implementation experience
• Expert in XML, XSL, JSPX, SQL, PLSQL, Unix-putty commands, server folders, data base tables, style-sheet
• Depth Understating of Automation agent actions, procedure, packages, custom event, report configuration/registration
