.Net Application Developer - TNT

In this position you would be playing the role of Application Developer Specialist and take complete responsibility to fulfil the expectations from this job position which is listed under the Position Description section.
In this role you will be reporting to the Delivery Manager Powertrain Production Bangalore.

Position Description
As Application Developer Specialist you will be responsible for:
Support and maintenance of TNT, TNT Batch, FSPRO, KUPP, GTSR, ESO, EWO, DEF etc applications. Also, the candidate would be expected to work on design and development of CRs.
  • Perform coding, unit testing and documentation of software units defined by the design document
  • Participate in software modification during integration testing
  • Adhere to the project/assignment timelines as agreed with the Project Manager or other authorized personnel
  • Develop efficient software according to business requirements within given time frame
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Group IT processes, methods and tools, and business processes
  • Ensure applicable IT security directive is followed for the service
  • Gather functional and non-functional, including information security requirements from the stakeholders and document such requirements
  • Propose changes that make the system more efficient and/or reduces operation or maintenance cost
  • Create good practices and propose improvements
  • Coach Application Developer Specialist ITs at previous step and same step
  • Develop detailed designs of medium complexity applications/database
  • Plan and establish a Software Configuration Management plan and secure that it is communicated.
  • Be competent in cost effective estimation and planning of development, deployment and operation activities
  • Suggest ideas and actively contribute in relevant Group IT communities and bodies
  • Secure that the necessary and relevant review and audits are performed for the product

Your Profile:

Strong experience of working in an IT delivery organization including solid application development experience. Experience from working in a global context


Mandatory Skills
  • Practical experience in ASP.NET using C#, .Net Framework 3.5 & above.
  • Practical experience in Win forms using C#, .Net Framework 3.5 & above.
  • Strong in Window Service development using C#
  • Skilful in writing Unit and Integration Tests
  • Expert in SQL Server programming like SPs, Database Design and Implementation, Query Optimization
  • Experience of working on Visual Studio 2017, TFS
  • Good code debugging skills.
  • Basic Knowledge of WMQ and WMQ Client, WMQ Explorer.
  • Experience in development, application maintenance and Support projects.
  • You can navigate with ease in a multi-cultural environment and actively cooperate with various stakeholders
  • You have a strong focus on quality, and you have a personal drive to reach objectives and targets
  • You have a strong customer focus.
  • Continuous improvement is your nature and you can drive changes.
  • Complete proficiency in English is a requirement.
  • Minimum educational qualification should be BE/B.Tech/MCA
  • 3 to 6 years of overall experience
  • Good to have Skills
  • Practical experience in .NET Core and Angular JS.
  • Practical experience in NHibernate or any ORM.
  • Having experience in one/more emerging technologies would be an added advantage. Otherwise, should be willing to learn and acquire new skills and quickly work on new technologies.
  • Test Automation Tools like Ranorex or Selenium
  • Good experience in Agile, SCRUM.

  • Communication: Must possess good verbal and written Communication.
  • Team Skills: Must be a team Player and be ready to stretch to meet the overall team objectives.
  • Good in diagnostic and quick problem solving.
  • Flexibility: The ideal candidate must be Flexible to work in New Developments, Maintenance and Support Activities including Shifts and Oncall Support as well.
  • Mindset: Must have an open mindset to adapt to changing Business Driven technologies.
